Students of Gospelink’s International Bible College Visit the USA, Make the News

A number of students from Gospelink’s International Bible College in Kazemba, Zambia are currently visiting the states on a tour through the midwest. Their mission: to raise support for a quality Christian education.

As they toured the midwest, they stopped off at Africa! – a zoo in Peoria, IL and received a private tour. In exchange, the students performed authentic song and dance for several of the zoo’s visitors.

His Love Reaches Farther | Tanzanian Witchdoctor Repents, Turns to Christ

Who, oh Lord, could save themselves,
Their own soul could heal?
Our shame was deeper than the sea
Your grace is deeper still

You alone can rescue, You alone can save
You alone can lift us from the grave
You came down to find us, led us out of death
To You alone belongs the highest praise

You, oh Lord, have made a way
The great divide You heal
For when our hearts were far away
Your love went further still
Yes, your love goes further still

We lift up our eyes, lift up our eyes
You’re the Giver of Life!

[You Alone Can Rescue – Matt Redman]

It is God who opens doors for Evangelism.
It is God who gives ears to hear and eyes to see the Gospel.
And it is God who transforms the heart to receive the Gospel.

Gospelink preachers all over Africa and Asia are making much of Jesus to every person they meet – even the unlikely.  To the mothers, the fathers, the children, the government workers, vendors, the witchdoctors…no one is discounted! Here is a preacher report from a Tanzanian preacher (Ambrose Sarima). Hope you’re encouraged!

Ambrose Sarima

I thank God for giving me evangelism opportunities in different places during this quarter.  I was able to witness God’s miracles in the ministry.  My evangelism team and I were almost beaten at Kitunda Village.  We were in one house sharing the Gospel without knowing that we were annoying the chairman of the village government.  He was a witchdoctor.  Witchdoctors in our country have many followers and are the source of many problems in our society.  The chairman of the village government hired the witchdoctor to fight us.  Instead of beating us, they disclosed the secret plan to us.  We followed one of them home to discuss the problem and to share God’s Word to him.  He was very sorry and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.  He brought his tools that he uses in his work and we burnt them.  Please pray for Monanka for he is now a Christian and needs to grow with the Lord.

Zambian Preacher Sees Fruit in Ministry, Thanks American Sponsors

EXCITING! Sponsors are making a tangible difference all over Africa and Asia through their financial and prayer support! It’s encouraging to receive reports like the one below and to hear what God is doing through our preachers and pastors. The Church really is growing in these nations. We have a great opportunity to sharpen these preachers’ ministries – allowing them to focus solely on ministry (and not work a second job), giving them the tools (bibles, hymnals, concordances, Gospel literature, etc) they need to preach effectively. It’s a great opportunity.

The following is a preacher report from Zambian preacher Jestart Kazwami (pictured).

The previous months under review were a good season in my ministry.   I wish you could come here and see for yourself what the Lord is doing through your support.  I conducted 3 leadership seminars. One was at the church.  The response was encouraging.  We also had another youth leadership seminar at Sekondale Church and about 86 young leaders from 36 local churches attended.  The theme of the seminar was “The Value of Planning”.  The youth leaders are doing very well in their youth work.  I also conducted a women’s workshop at our local church where 69 women attended.  The theme was “Making a Difference”.  I attended an ordination ceremony for Pastor Shamambo at Kabita local church.

Our ministry at the local church is doing very well in that we have continued to grow in number and spiritually.  We are now reaching 650 in our church services and people have committed themselves to the work of the Lord in many areas. New members are still joining us.  Our church is a place of joy and unity.  As a pastor, I have continued giving pastoral care to people.  This includes visits to those who are sick and those with bereavement.  During the period under review, we baptized 26 new believers.  I want to let you know that now we have built a baptistery at our church premises.  This structure has helped the church because we used to go very far to the river.  It used to be very costly for us but now we have our own baptistery.

We invite YOU to come on board with us here at Gospelink! With more sponsors, we equip more preachers and we see more disciples made…which is our SOLE mission here on this earth.

That’s My King! Do You Know Him? [sm lockridge]

Inspiring sermon from Dr. S.M. Lockridge.

The Bible says my King is the King of the Jews. He’s the King of Israel. He’s the King of righteousness. He’s the King of the ages. He’s the King of Heaven. He’s the King of glory. He’s the King of kings, and He’s the Lord of lords. That’s my King. I wonder…Do you know Him?

My King is a sovereign King. No means of measure can define his limitless love. He’s enduringly strong. He’s entirely sincere. He’s eternally steadfast. He’s immortally graceful. He’s imperially powerful. He’s impartially merciful. Do you know Him?

He’s the greatest phenomenon that has ever crossed the horizon of this world. He’s God’s Son. He’s the sinner’s Savior. He’s the peak of civilization. He’s unparalleled. He’s unprecedented. He is the loftiest idea in literature. He’s the highest personality in philosophy. He’s the fundamental doctrine of true theology. He’s the only one qualified to be an all-sufficient Savior. I wonder if you know Him today.

He supplies strength for the weak. He’s available for the tempted and the tried. He sympathizes and He saves. He strengthens and sustains. He guards and He guides. He heals the sick. He cleanses the lepers. He forgives sinners. He discharges debtors. He delivers the captives. He defends the feeble. He blesses the young. He serves the unfortunate. He regards the aged. He rewards the diligent, and He beautifies the meager. I wonder if you know Him.

He’s the key to knowledge. He’s the wellspring of wisdom. He’s the doorway of deliverance. He’s the pathway of peace. He’s the roadway of righteousness. He’s the highway of holiness. He’s the gateway of glory. Do you know Him?

Well, His light is matchless. His goodness is limitless. His mercy is everlasting. His love never changes. His word is enough. His grace is sufficient. His reign is righteous, and His yoke is easy and His burden is light. I wish I could describe Him to you. Yes, He’s indescribable. He’s incomprehensible. He’s invincible. He’s irresistible. You can’t get Him out of your mind. You can’t get Him off of your head. You can’t outlive Him, and you can’t live without Him.

Well, the Pharisees couldn’t stand Him but they found out they couldn’t stop Him. Pilate couldn’t find any fault in Him. Herod couldn’t kill Him. Death couldn’t handle Him, and the grave couldn’t hold Him. I wonder if you know Him.
